Seerah - The biography of the prophet of islam, Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wassalam)
The teachings and life of the Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alaihi wasallam). The lessons and rich advice found within the seerah are a cure for all personal, spiritual and intellectual problems, and solutions to modern societal issues. The seerah is the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alaihi wasallam), this includes stories from the life, sayings, manners, teachings and character, and his interaction with his companions, family and non-muslims.

If sufism is the soul of Islam and its heart, fiqh, or jurisprudence, is its skeleton and body. Fiqh literally means ‘to understand’ and is the study of the sacred law, the tenets of faith, what is permitted and prohibited, and the recommended and the disliked. It’s understanding and application is the foundation of the religion. Without understanding what is required of one by the sacred law, one cannot apply its injunctions. Therefore to study and understand is imperative upon the believers.
SUFISM – The spirituality of Islam

Sufism is the science of the heart, the science of good intentions, the very soul of Islam. The zawiya teaches sufism according to the recommendations and spiritual instructions of the comtemporary master of the science, one who has inherited the spiritual tradition in a unbroken chain going back to the Prophet Muhammad himself, Sidi Jamaluddin Qadiri Boutchich. The essence of sufism, its reality and its light is not captured through books or intellectual study, rather through following a guide who has a spiritual permission to transmit this knowledge. It is attained through love and application.
ARABIC – Speaking, reading and writing in a practical way

The language of the Qur’an. The one who reads, understands, ponders and acts upon one verse of the Qur’an is better than the one who recites the entire Qur’an without understanding it (although there are still many blessings in reciting in this way). Arabic study includes grammar, morphology, vocabulary and spoken Arabic.

Learning the Qur’an is more than just learning to recite it – it is to undertsand its meanings and explanations, and to act upon its injunctions according to ones capacity.
The zawiya offers courses in tajweed, which is the knowledge of how to recite the Qur’an according to how it was recited by the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam himself.
The zawiya also offers courses in tafseer, the subject matter and explanations of the verses of the Qur’an in isolation and the entire Qur’an holistically.
